Episode 32: Title Contemplation Confidence and Fulfilment

I remember this teaching so well, Cathy and I had spent the night in the same convent as James. He was a warm and funny man, great company and came over as someone who loved and celebrated life.
At an evening meal James shared this image I have never forgotten it, for it helped me with the understanding of the presence of God in my life. " Imagine this" James said " A sponge and the ocean. The sponge is in the ocean, and at the very same time, the ocean is in the sponge. The sponge is not the Ocean , but is not seperate from ocean. In the very same way, you are in God and God is in you. You are not God but you are not seperate from God.
I invite you to take time and drink in this truth about yourself. God's presence is in you ,and you are in God. You are not God, but you are not, and never will be , seperate from God . What a beautiful , wonderful and powerful teaching. Stay safe and happy. Archie and Cathy.
